As one of Standard’s premier threats, Sheoldred does it all – she’ll help stabilize games where you’re behind or quickly close out games you’re winning. Four mana for a 4/5 is pretty respectable, but add to that a clock that can win the game without ever going to combat and you’ve got a threat opponents can’t afford to ignore. I don’t know what Sheoldred’s long-term future looks like, as she isn’t the huge, splashy sort of card that will flourish in Commander, but for as long as she’s in Standard she’ll remain a force to be reckoned with.
