Generally speaking, I’d like to see more abstract or abstracted art on Magic cards. That’s not to take anything away from more traditional fantasy art, but you take a look through the Strixhaven: School of Mages: Mystical Archives and tell me you don’t want more art like Anato Finnstark’s Lightning Bolt, Minttu Hynninen’s Regrowth, or just about anything by Justin and Alexis Hernandez. Again, as with the Zendikar Hedron and Ravnica Citscape Showcases, it’s not so much about the frames — I just want to see more art in this style on more Magic cards, and I don’t imagine I’m the only one.
