Top 10 Most Expensive MTG Cards in Mercadian Masques – 10. Squee, Goblin Nabob

Mercadian Masques debuted in 1999, and contains some very niche but nonetheless very powerful cards that see play in both casual and competitive formats. From EDH staples to weird Legacy cards, MMQ has a wide variety of cards that still command a decent price. Let’s get into the cards that have performed the best, financially speaking, over the years, and see what hidden gems lay in wait for us!

  1. Squee, Goblin Nabob

I learnt two things today: one, that the word nabob refers to “a person of conspicuous wealth or high status”; two, that this particular nabob is actually a super old card. I thought the Modern Masters and Ultimate Masters version of Squee were just reprints of the original Tenth Edition version, but no – Squee has been coming back from the dead since 1999. Squee, Goblin Nabob is an indispensible card in some decks: Asmoranomardicadaistinaculdacar, Chainer, Nightmare Adept and Quintorius, Field Historian all make excellent use of his recursive ability. You can get a newer copy for less than a dollar, but for those who want the world to know just how much of a boomer they are, it’ll cost you 10 bucks to show off a Squee from Mercadian Masques.
