There used to be a deck in Legacy based around Food Chain, using cards like Misthollow Griffin to generate infinite mana. As you can cast Misthollow Griffin from exile, and as Food Chain exiles it for mana, this gets you an arbitrarily large amount of mana which you can then use to… well, win the game, presumably. The deck isn’t really played any more, and that plus a Double Master 2022 reprint has seen its price come down from $70 to $20, but Food Chain is still played in Commander to great effect. Alongside Squee, the Immortal, Eternal Scourge and certain commanders like Prossh, Skyraider of Kher and Thrasta, Tempest’s Roar, Food Chain is still out there, generating infinite mana for people.
